I disagree that this is a Carry On film in all but name, in spite of sharing a writer and several actors, it also contains elements of the sort of comical crime caper from an earlier period, like the Ealing comedies. PatGallacher (talk) 13:05, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- The article doesn't say that it is a Carry On, but does note that the film uses the same production team and some of the cast. It is one of the films that was made in between the Carry On films as a sort of filler, but never achieved the same degree of success and is largely forgotten today.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 13:11, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
- Just a note that Gerald Thomas, Peter Rogers, Talbot Rothwell, Eric Rogers and Alan Hume are all regulars from the Carry On production team. Sid James, Joan Sims and Jim Dale are all regulars from the cast.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 17:16, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
Destruction of the money
[edit]Re this edit: In the final scene of the film, Sid James tips a briefcase full of shredded paper on to a table. There is a squeaking sound and mice are visible on the table among the shredded paper. Sid James says "The little bustards!" It's clear that the mice have done this, not the birds. ♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 18:52, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- Well, that interpretation might not be obvious to everybody. Is there a copy of the film to hand? PatGallacher (talk) 12:02, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- Yes there is, but I can't show it here because it would be a copyvio. If you sent me an email I could explain where to find it.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 12:54, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, I will take your word for it. PatGallacher (talk) 13:13, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
- This is a short clip with the mice on the table.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 19:29, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, you win. PatGallacher (talk) 13:10, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
